Marianne Williamson’s 2020 Vision – The Evolution Is Here … If We Want It

Aired 31 December 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Author, Teacher and Presidential Candidate Marianne Williamson

Four years ago, rank and file Republican voters had the courage to follow their convictions and choose an outside-the-box, non-politician candidate who they felt best represented their world view. Establishment candidates like Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, and even Ted Cruz fell by the wayside, and the Republican establishment had to fall in line behind the people’s choice, Donald Trump.

As MIT professor Otto Scharmer pointed out after the election, American voters had three choices in 2016: Move forward together, stay with the status quo, or move backward. Bernie represented moving forward together, but there is plenty of evidence that he was cheated out of the nomination by the Hillary forces. Hillary, according to Scharmer, represented the status quo.

And we all know what happened. The status quo was rejected, and America took a giant step backward.

Now, here we are again, and the powers-that-be in the Democratic (sic) Party have been using their influence to marginalize and discredit the one truly “radical” candidate in the campaign, Marianne Williamson. Now by radical, I don’t mean Bernie Sanders radical or even AOC radical – I mean radical in its original meaning, getting to the root cause. Unlike any other candidate, with the possible exception of Tulsi Gabbard, Marianne’s platform – go here to see it for yourself – is the only one that gets to the ROOT of the “shituation”, the absence of a sane and sacred center. Consequently, the unchecked and unbalanced power of money has ruled, leaving we the people at the non-mercy of a heartless system.

And while I have always liked and admired Marianne, it wasn’t until I saw her in the second Presidential debate last summer that I appreciated the power of her voice being heard. She received genuine and heartfelt applause … Read more here…

Post-Doom – Confronting Climate Chaos, Beyond Denial and Despair

Aired 24 December 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Michael Dowd, Eco-Theologian and Author of “Thank God For Evolution”

Sometimes I think we have created the political polarization and paralysis, the toxic culture wars, the fixations on “the pedophile elite”, and the arguments about how many sexes there are, so that we can distract ourselves from the elephant and donkey in the living room – what scientists are calling the Sixth Great Extinction.

The foreboding symptoms include climate chaos that seems to be spiraling out of control, dying oceans, societal unrest, and species loss. And at the top of the endangered species list, whether we accept it or not, is our own species. And yet we want to imagine that life will go on “as usual.”

Meanwhile, the two sides have retreated to their respective corners and are indulging in the two drugs more popular – and dangerous – than the opioids: Hopium and Deniatol. We have one force strung out on hopium – hoping that technology will save us, and another addicted to Deniatol, denying any problem exists. And many of those who have been addressing the issue for decades have all but given up.

My guest this week on Wiki Politiki, Michael Dowd offers a way through and past the denial and despair with a powerful re-frame he calls Post Doom. Writes Michael:

Doom is the mid-point between denial and regeneration…with or without us.

Post-doom is what opens up when we remember who we are, accept what is inevitable, honor our grief, and invest in what is pro-future and soul-nourishing… Read more here…

Ending Medical Debt – And Creating A Healthy, Caring Health Care System

Aired 17 December 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with RIP Medical Debt Co-Founder Jerry Ashton, Co-Author of “End Medical Debt”

As a professional comedian, it’s my job to “pump ironies” so here is an irony supplement to munch on: Americans spent $3.65 trillion on health care in 2018, according to a report from Axios. The amount is larger than the GDPs of such countries as Brazil, the U.K., Mexico, Spain, and Canada. And yet, we rank 27th in the world in health. In a study of 11 countries, the U.S. ranked LAST for health outcomes, equity and quality, despite having the highest per capita health earnings. The U.S. also had the highest rate of mortality amenable to healthcare, meaning more Americans die from poor care quality than any other country involved in the study.

And, it gets worse.

Not only does our health care outcome fall far short of health industry income, but the fundamental inequity – and iniquity – of the current system has created another life-threatening metastasis in our body politic: $1 trillion in unpayable medical debt in America. Medical debt causes hardships for individuals, families, communities, and the nation as a whole.

Our guest this week, Jerry Ashton, along with his End Medical Debt co-authors Robert Goff and Craig Antico created a charity, RIP Medical Debt, the charity made famous by John Oliver on HBO for abolishing $15 million in medical debt. Since 2014, RIP has purchased and forgiven more than $750 million on medical debt. The charity recently reached the milestone of abolishing $1 billion in medical debt. Read more here…

A World Worth Imagining

Aired 3 December 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Futurist Roxanne Meadows, Co-Founder of the Venus Project with Jacque Fresco

If you remember the Zeitgeist movie from a dozen years ago, then the name “Jacque Fresco” will seem familiar to you. Fresco – who was featured in the documentary — was a visionary futurist and designer dedicated to a “peaceful and sustainable global civilization”. Fresco died in 2017 at the age of 101, and his “work of heart”, the Venus Project lives on, the subject of a new documentary film, A World Worth Imagining: Jacque Fresco The Man With the Plan.

We are pleased to welcome as our guest on Wiki Politiki this week, Jacque Fresco’s partner and co-founder of the Venus Project, Roxanne Meadows. With Fresco, Ms. Meadows has also been featured in radio, television, documentaries, and film festivals. She has been interviewed or featured in Futurism.com, Bloomberg, New York Times, Huffington Post, Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Tribune, The Times of India, Herald de Paris, Horizon, BBC Two, Now this Future, GQ Italy and much more.

As a futurist presenting the aims of The Venus Project, Ms. Meadows, along with Mr. Fresco, has presented at conferences and seminars throughout the United States and in 27 countries around the world.  Read more here…

How To Change History – BEFORE It Happens

Aired 26 November 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Stephan Schwartz — Futurist, Researcher, and Author of “The 8 Laws of Change: How to Be an Agent of Personal and Social Transformation”

When sane and reverent people look at our current political, ecological “shituation”, it is understandable if they ask, “Is this the hand of God at work – or just the Middle Finger”?

Our guest on Wiki Politiki this week, Stephan A. Schwartz – who has spent a lifetime delving into physical and metaphysical reality – offers a deep perspective on the challenges we face individually, collectively and indeed as a species as we address the key questions for transformation: What’s so? So what? Now what?

For 40 years he has been studying the nature of consciousness, particularly that aspect independent of space and time. Schwartz is part of the small group that founded modern Remote Viewing research, and is the principal researcher studying the use of Remote Viewing in archaeology.

Join us for an eye-opening, mind-expanding, heartful conversation that takes us beyond the “deep state” to a deeper state of awareness, and offers a simple and practical pathway for changing the future through our actions now. Along the way we will discuss the surprising secret behind Gandhi’s campaign for Indian independence, a first-hand view of Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech, and adventures in the world of remote viewing. The Bottom-up Revolution: Mastering the Emerging World of Connectivity

Aired 19 November 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with journalist, inventor Rob Kall, author of “The Bottom-up Revolution: Mastering the Emerging World of Connectivity”

Those of us who recognize the patterns of evolution see that change is not imposed from the top down, but emerges from the bottom up. When we consider the “surprise” movements of the last decade – the Tea Party and Occupy, and even the Trump and Bernie Sanders campaigns, as well as the Yellow Vest movement in France – we see that when individuals coalesce voluntarily and spontaneously, history can be changed.

Our guest on Wiki Politiki this week, Rob Kall, has been studying this phenomenon for years, and his new book, The Bottom-up Revolution; Mastering the Emerging World of Connectivity, offers interviews with innovators from all fields to show convincingly that this is how change DOES take place. More importantly, he offers pathways for cultivating this bottom-up approach and in the process offers a prescription for “overgrowing” our current dysfunctional systems. … Read more here

Bernie Or Bust – Will Berniecrats “Bust” the DNC?

Aired 3 September 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with activist Victor Tiffany, author of “Bernie Or Bust: Pioneers of Electoral Revolt”

In the wake of Hillary’s DOA campaign for President in 2016, there were two conflicting “autopsy” reports. Those who supported Bernie maintain that Hillary was such a turn off that many disgusted young voters stayed home, voted for Jill Stein, or even switched teams to vote for Trump. (Yes, I do know some who voted for Bernie in the primaries, Trump in the general election.)

Then there are the Hillary supporters who are enraged at those who failed to rally behind Hillary, laying the atrocities of the Trump regime squarely at the feet of the “Bernie or bust” crowd.

Maybe instead of asking, “Who’s right?” we might want to ask, “What’s wrong?”

Berniecrats maintain that the 2016 election was a forum on the status quo, and Hillary and neoliberalism represented the status quo that put 40% of Americans one paycheck away from financial disaster, and put the middle class on the endangered species list. These people maintain that Bernie could have and would have won in 2016, because he offered a welcome change. He stood for something, and he actually activated a movement. He represented those of us who were fed up with the corporatocracy and oligarchy.

And now, as we get ready for the 2020 primaries … the Bernie or Bust folks are out in full force. Our guest this week, Victor Tiffany, who calls himself a political revolutionary literally wrote the book on Bernie or bust … in fact the book is called “Bernie Or Bust: Pioneers of Electoral Revolt” and lays out what he calls IRIS (Independent Revolutionary Integrated Strategy) … Read more here

The Truth Has Changed – A Front-Lines Account of the “War On the Truth

Aired 27 August 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Josh Fox, the Oscar-Nominated and Emmy-Winning filmmaker behind GASLAND

If you’ve heard or used the word “fracking” in recent months or years, you have filmmaker Josh Fox to thank. His award-winning film Gasland (2010) exposed the “gaslighting” by the fossil fuel companies in their attempt to sell “fracking” — defined as “the process of injecting liquid at high pressure into subterranean rocks, boreholes, etc. so as to force open existing fissures and extract oil or gas.”

Fox’s claims that fracking polluted ground water and caused earthquakes made him the target of a $100 million smear campaign on the part of the gas industry. Writes Josh, “This campaign of misinformation and slander was run by people we have heard quite a bit about in recent times: Steve Bannon, Andrew Breitbart, James O’Keefe and others.”

And what Steve Bannon and company did to Josh from 2010-2015, he did to the whole American electorate in 2016. Josh Fox was the beta test for the types of propaganda and smear the gang that created Cambridge Analytica is now known for worldwide. And Josh is telling his story in an uncompromising way like never before through a new filmThe Truth Has Changed.

Unlike most documentaries, The Truth Has Changed is the film version of a live performance by Josh relating how his personal story intertwines with America since 9/11. And, he and his team have created a crowd-funding campaign to support grassroots screenings and rallies to educate the public not just about fracking, but about the lengths the fossil fuel industry and their “fiends in high places” will go to destroy both the free press and democracy … Read more here

5G – Towering Health Crisis Or Nothing Burger? Time to “Clear the Air”

Aired 20 August 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Health Activist and EMF Expert Michael LeVesque

Ready or not, 5G is here.

5G stands for “fifth generation cellular technology” which promises to deliver data rates that are 10 to 100 times faster than current 4G. Not only does this mean much faster download rates, but 5G will also enable new technologies like self-driving cars and augmented reality. Mobile devices will be able to send and receive information in less than one-thousandth of a second, appearing instantaneous to the user.

Wow. Faster internet, faster downloads on our smart phones … Fast, fast, fast.

Well … not so fast, say some concerned citizens and scientists. As with cell phones, the radiation from this 5G technology is being linked to higher cancer rates. The cell phone providers and mainstream media insist all is safe, and there is no problem. Are they correct? Or is this just another issue where those with much to gain are railroading an untested technology?

Our guest this week Michael LeVesque, is a long-time health advocate, who opened his first health food store in Cortez, Colorado nearly fifty years ago. In 1982, he opened Vitamin Express, running five stores for 36 years. He is the author of the best-selling BIG Vitamin Dictionary, and has spent the past several years studying wireless technology and the “human voltage system”. Michael is a self-taught expert on EMF (electromagnetic field) radiation and their impact on the human body, and is the owner of Ray Guard Protect, a device to protect against EMF exposure … Read more here

Co-Active Leadership: Activating the Leadership of All for the Benefit of All

Aired 6 August 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Karen and Henry Kimsey-House, Co-Founders of Co-Active Leadership and Co-Active Coaching

For most of us when we think of “leadership” – unless we identify as a “leader” – generally think of somebody else out there. And now at a time when dissatisfaction with our “leaders” is at an all-time high, we might consider that leadership must now evolve to activating many different varieties of leadership talents.

Our guests on Wiki Politiki this week, Karen and Henry Kimsey-House, have spent the past three decades coaching and teaching leadership that “harnesses the possibility of many rather than relying on the power of one.”

They write:

“Top-down, one-dimensional leadership models are hopelessly outmoded in today’s rapidly changing world, and they waste the leadership ability that is present throughout an organization. This revolutionary five-dimensional approach recognizes that leadership has to be fluid and flexible and that the roles leaders and followers play must shift to suit the situation. Co-Active Leadership invites all of us to share our expertise and allows collaborative solutions to emerge that would never have been possible otherwise.”.

Contribution and Consciousness: How to Change Our Inner World So We Can Change the Outer One

Aired 30 July 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Stephanie James, Author, Psychotherapist and Host of “The Spark” Radio Show and Podcast

To many Americans, the 2016 election was a traumatic event.

The first gathering I attended that November was at a church in San Jose, where Mexican Americans expressed fearful concern about the disruption in their community, and the potential danger of being singled out and marginalized. Others – people of color, the LGBT community, women, those concerned about climate change – have seen some of their worst fears realized over the past two years. Beginning with the women’s march in January 2017, large numbers of people have been mobilized against Trumpism – and yet, there is still a feeling of powerlessness and despair.

Although resisting Trump seems “irresistible”, the pushing against seems to make him bigger and more powerful, as he and his ilk feed upon even the most negative publicity. The question is, how do we turn this rightful concern into generative action TOWARDS the future we want, and not just away from what we don’t want? How do we make a positive, healthy, helpful contribution to our world in these times of crisis, danger, and chaos?

Our guest this week Stephanie James, a therapist who has helped countless individuals heal from their personal trauma, has some exciting ideas for how we can continue to heal our personal issues … AND … use those insights and practices to shift “powerless and reactive” to “powerful and proactive”. That way, instead of buying into the fear-based narratives that put us in our “reptile brain”, feed the love-based ones that put us in the neo-cortex so we can be more creative, more present in our own lives, and consequently more helpful to others. … Read more here

Banks For People Is NOT An Oxymoron! Shifting Financial Power From Wall Street to Main Street

Aired 23 July 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Ellen Brown, Author of “Banking On the People: Democratizing Money In the Digital Age”

Economics, and particularly the banking industry and monetary policy seems to be a mysterious black box to most people – our guest this week, Ellen Brown, characterizes it as a “sausage factory.” She is obviously referring to the quote attributed to Otto von Bismarck: “Laws are like sausages. You should never see them made.”

In other words, if we actually understood how and why banks do what they do, and how monetary policy is made – we’d never “swallow it”. Ellen Brown, author of the classic “Web of Debt,” a follow up book, “The Public Bank Solution”, and her latest in the trilogy, “Banking On the People: Democratizing Money In the Digital Age”, sprays the issue with “demystifier” and offers thoughtful, breakthrough solutions that will shift financial power and wellbeing from Wall Street to Main Street.

When I traveled to Washington, D.C. a week or two after the 2008 election, there was literally dancing in the streets. The mood felt like the liberation of Paris or the fall of the Berlin Wall.

But a lad and a lack. For many complex reasons, Obama bailed out Wall Street but not Main Street, and in the past decade we’ve come to recognize that the financial institutions that were “too big to fail” were not too big to fail the American people. As a result, the American middle class seems to have gone the way of the typewriter and slide rule, as the gap between rich and poor actually grew during the Obama administration. Bank loans for new businesses have been replaced with credit card debt that has further impoverished local enterprise, while the mega-banks continue to make mega-profits.

This week’s guest Ellen Brown is the founder of the Public Banking Institute and the author of a dozen books and hundreds of articles. She developed her research skills as an attorney practicing civil litigation in Los Angeles. In the best-selling “Web of Debt”, she turned those skills to an analysis of the Federal Reserve and “the money trust,” showing how this private cartel has usurped the power to create money from the people themselves and how we the people can get it back … Read more here

Revising Revisionist History – An Inspiring New Perspective on America’s Origin Story

Aired 16 July 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Connie Baxter Marlow and Andrew Cameron Bailey, Researchers and Makers of the Film “Seeds of Freedom”

My favorite pleasantly provocative and curiosity-inducing question is … “Did you know?”

Did you know … that there were fifty-four years of peace and friendship between the Mayflower Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians in Plymouth Colony between 1621 and 1675?

You didn’t? Neither did I until I met this week’s guests Connie Baxter Marlow and Andrew Cameron Bailey some years ago, and they told me the inspiring story of how visionary leaders of two radically different cultures met and worked together to maintain an inter-cultural exchange that became what Bailey and Marlow call the “First Great Synthesis” between Europeans and American Indians. While many – including my own book Spontaneous Evolution credit the Iroquois Nation with the ideals and structures of governance that inspired our Constitution – Marlow and Cameron offer compelling evidence that many of these “seeds of freedom” came from the Pilgrims themselves….  Read more here

From the Illusion of Separation to the Truth of Unity – It’s “One Mind” Over All Matters

Aired 9 July 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Dr. Larry Dossey, Author of “One Mind: How Our Individual Mind is Part of a Greater Consciousness and Why it Matters”

There is nothing wrong with the human ego. Who would we be without an ego? Nobody, that’s who!

But … what if in addition to being “somebody” we were also “everybody”? What if we were connected in ways that seem outlandish to the ordinary mind? What if, in fact, there was no such thing as the “ordinary mind” and that we were all part of one big “extraordinary mind”?

Our guest this week, Dr. Larry Dossey, has been a pioneer in complementary and alternative medicine. He has written books that offer both empirical and anecdotal evidence of the healing power of prayer, and his latest book offers the best antidote yet to the unbalanced “individualism” that has woven us dangerously outside the web of life.

As to what this metaphysical issue has to do with healing the body politic, Larry says: “Only by realizing, at the deepest emotional level, our connections with one another and the Earth itself can we summon the courage necessary to make the tough choices that are required in order to survive. So, this book is also about staying alive — saving the Earth and our own skins.”…  Read more here

The Hidden History of Guns and the Second Amendment – Slavery, the “Doctrine of Discovery” and America’s Gun Culture

Aired 2 July 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Thom Hartmann, Radio Host and Author of “The Hidden History of Guns and the Second Amendment”

Back in the 1960s, black power activist H. Rap Brown famously proclaimed, “violence is as American as cherry pie.” This week’s guest on Wiki Politiki, Thom Hartmann, shows us how and why this is true, so true.

At a time when the gun issue in the United States is front-and-center, and two competing narratives contradict each other, Thom Hartmann – a political “uncommontator” and contextualizer extraordinaire has sprayed the issue with “de-mystifier” in his latest book, “The Hidden History of Guns and the Second Amendment”.

Guns were part of our political legacy since the day Columbus landed, and since the first slaves were bought to the new world from Africa. As part of the “doctrine of discovery”, the conquistadors were given carte blanche by Pope Alexander to kill, rape, exploit and plunder non-Christian people who were deemed less than human …  Read more here

The Battlefield of the Soul and the Challenges of the Modern World – How the Baghvad Gita Can Turn Our World Outside In

Aired 25 June 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Isaac Bentwich, M.D. Author of “Gita: A Timeless Guide for Our Times”

The Bible … the Koran … the I Ching … for millennia scholars have gone through these “fine couth tomes” with a fine tooth comb, seeking practical wisdom, and timeless perspective.

This week on Wiki Politiki, we will be featuring one of the most heralded and widely-read ancient texts of all, the Baghvad Gita. Written more than 2,000 years ago, the Gita (meaning Divine Song), speaks to and accesses the “perennial wisdom” at the foundation of every spiritual path and practice. As Deepak Chopra has said, “Gita is the ultimate guide for your spiritual- journey.”

It has been called the “foundation of yoga.” Yet, many western yoga students want to focus on the physical aspects of yoga, and grow impatient with this story that has been foundational for those who brought yoga to the west — from Yogananda to Vivekananda to Iyengar to the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It has also captivated and inspired many of the world’s greatest creative minds — scientists, thinkers, musicians, poets, and spiritual teachers: From Beethoven to Leonard Cohen, from Gandhi to Deepak Chopra, from Carl Jung to Robert Oppenheimer (‘father’ of the atomic bomb), from Emerson and Thoreau to Will Smith and Julia Roberts.

Our guest this week, Isaac Bentwich M.D. is a longtime practitioner and teacher of Yoga and Meditation. Trained as a physician and a scientist …  Read more here

The Future of Religion = The Future of Humanity – From Parochial Dogma to Perennial Wisdom

Aired 18 June 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Rabbi Rami Shapiro – Author, Holy Rascal, and “Perennial Wise Guy”

In case you haven’t noticed, there is a pitched battle going on between two dueling paradigms – traditional religion, and scientific materialism – both of which hold part of the story, neither of which have the whole picture. As Bruce Lipton has pointed out, this modern religion called “science” actually uses words like “dogma” and “heresy” to enforce a set of beliefs, not unlike religion. And while science is supposedly a system for carefully assessing evidence and determining fact, I have met “fundamentalist” scientific materialists as fervent as their religious counterparts.

Unfortunately, while these two incomplete narratives are duking it out, we’ve lost the sane, sacred coherence of the spiritual and material acting in accord. Our guest on Wiki Politiki this week, Rabbi Rami Shapiro has dedicated his work and life to, in his words, “working for the spiritual liberation of humankind by freeing religion from the parochial and the political, the tribal and xenophobic, the one–dimensional and literal, to reclaim the Perennial Wisdom at the heart of humanity’s sacred myths, stories, rituals, and symbols.” …  Read more here

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, 2019 Style – “Free Trip to Egypt” A Journey From the Illusion of Separation to the Truth of Oneness

Aired 11 June 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Tarek Mounib, Producer of the Documentary “Free Trip to Egypt”

It was more than 50 years ago that an envelope-pushing motion picture broke the issue of interracial marriage into mainstream consciousness. In “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” starring Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Sidney Poitier and Katherine Houghton, two families get to confront societal taboos and personal conflicts as an interracial couple announce their pending marriage. The movie ends with mutual acceptance and both families sitting down to dinner together.

Note that the movie wasn’t called “Guess Who’s Coming for Coffee?”

There is something about the ritual of sharing food, company and conversation that can transform the illusion of separation into the truth of oneness. And just as the aforementioned movie opened doors and possibilities half a century ago, perhaps a new film can help heal the misunderstandings and conflicts between Americans and the Muslim world.

Tarek Mounib, a Canadian-Egyptian entrepreneur living in Switzerland was troubled by a world that seemed ever more divided and polarized. In response to increasing levels of anger and hatred towards “the other” on American social and broadcast media, he resolved to reach out to the very people who fear his culture, with an intriguing idea. With the aim of trying to build mutual understanding, Tarek traveled across the United States in order to find Americans who feel threatened by Islam and offered them a Free Trip to Egypt. (Spoiler: He goes to Donald Trump rallies to find these people.)

The resulting documentary by the same name is the story of those who had the courage – despite their preconceptions – to take Tarek up on the offer …  Read more here

Seduced and Abandoned – The “Velvet Coup” That Cost Us Our Democracy, and How We Get It Back

Aired 4 June 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Jill Cody, Radio Host and Author of “America Abandoned “

In the early 2000s, my friend and colleague Joseph McCormick was going through a dark night of the soul. A hardline conservative, former Army Ranger and a Christian Coalition member, he had just lost a Congressional race in Georgia, and he found himself on a spiritual retreat in a cabin in rural Virginia. While there, he was “adopted” by a band of hippies, and he had an epiphany — that fundamentally, all of us really want the same things, except we’ve been divided by habit and tribalism. He decided his mission was to “reunite America.” He got a grant and set about to interview luminaries across the political spectrum, asking one question: What ails America, and how do we fix it?

His interviewees, ranging from Ralph Nader and Noam Chomsky on the left, to Ross Perot and Grover Norquist on the right, pretty much all said the same thing: Citizen engagement. We the people have become disengaged from the political process, and only by re-engaging can we rebalance the balance of power.

Well, here we are fifteen or so years later, and we seem more divided than ever. Those who are engaged, tend to be polarized to one side or the other. The media accentuates the polarities so that political conversations tend to create a lot of heat, and very little light.

The good news is that more and more Americans are awakening from the dueling dualities puppet show, and recognizing that we now need to engage in an entirely new way, independent of the two political parties. Instead of “following” parties or candidates, we the people need to LEAD the conversation.

Our guest this week, Jill Cody is a citizen advocate, award-winning author, and radio host. She’s held a life-long passion for knowledge and a will to inspire change in politics, the environment, higher education, and organizational development. During Jill’s 31-year career in public service, she saw our democracy slipping away in slow motion. This observation inspired her to research what happened that ended up explained in her international award-winning book, America Abandoned: The Secret Velvet Coup That Cost Us Our Democracy. …  Read more here

The Real Story Behind “Vaxxed” – How the Body Politic Can Emerge From a “Pharmaceutically Induced Coma”

Aired 28 May 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Del Bigtree, Producer of “Vaxxed”

My cosmic comic cohorts in the Firesign Theatre said it in their 1974 comedy record: Everything You Know Is Wrong.

Boy, were they right.

And that’s even truer when you are convinced everything you know is right. Take the “anti-vaccination” movement — or rather the anti-anti-vaccination movement. A couple of months ago, a “progressive” audience pretty much booed me off the stage when I made a peripheral reference to mandatory vaccinations maybe not being such a good idea.

I might have been one of those booing boors, had it not been for a posting by my esteemed colleague, Mark Crispin Miller, in 2016. Mark had his own “upwising” after the 2004 election when he published his book, Fooled Again: The Real Case For Electoral ReformThe book offered ample evidence of electoral fixes in 2000 and 2004, including hacked voting machines. Mark eagerly awaited the positive reviews that would come from left stalwarts like Democracy Now and Mother Jones. But they never came. The response from the progressive press and the Democratic Party was deafening silence.

These entities were simply unwilling to take on the established order, where apparently the Democrats were supposed to be the final resting place for progressive votes. And while that party seemed willing to accept that fated role, Mark was not willing to go along with it. And he has become one of the few “alt left” journalists willing to call out the establishment on issues that are conveniently dismissed as “conspiracy theories.”

So when I read his post on the controversial movie, Vaxxed, dated April 2, 2016 my eyes were opened. Subsequently, I’ve watched the Truth About Vaccines video series, and was surprised to find that most of the doctors interviewed favored vaccines — but were alarmed at how many were given at once to young babies, how much money Big Pharma was making on the vaccines, how studies linking vaccines to autism and other conditions were suppressed, and how doctors who had any objections have been marginalized, ostracized, and worse.

Perhaps now that the pharmaceutical industry is being held accountable for the opioid crisis, there is the perfect opportunity to break the vaccination issue through the “soundless barrier.”

That’s why I was so excited to interview Del Bigtree, the producer of the aforementioned Vaxxed movie, which was supposed to air at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016 but was withdrawn. You can read the “official” story in Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaxxed) where you will notice they use loaded words like “pseudoscience” … “discredited” … “anti-vaccine propaganda film”, etc. Speaking of “discredited”, if reading this entry doesn’t evoke Pravda (the Russian word for “truth” that the Russian people recognized to mean “lies”) then … well, might as well leave Orwell enough alone.

Del Bigtree’s foray into the vaccine issue was anything but intentional. After spending a decade celebrating great doctors, cutting edge surgeries and medical breakthroughs, it was a routine investigation into the story of a whistleblower at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that catapulted Del into the vaccine debate. When every news agency in television, including The Doctors, refused to cover the story of Dr. William Thompson, a senior scientist at the CDC who had provided over 10,000 documents to support his claim that the agency had destroyed scientific evidence proving a connection between vaccines and autism, Del put his career on the line and left network television to make one of the most controversial documentaries in history: Vaxxed: From Cover-Up To Catastrophe. …  Read more here

The Next Ten Years – Breakdown, Breakthrough and Breakaway

Aired 21 May 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Writer, Speaker, and Optimist Harvey Stone

Back in my teaching days, I had a hilarious colleague who loved to channel Mel Brooks’ 2000-year-old man character, who naturally — or unnaturally — spoke with a Yiddish accent. I knew my friend was considering changing schools so when I ran into him, I asked him “So, what are you doing next year?”

And he answered in that perfect Yiddish inflection, “Oh? They’re having ANOTHER ONE?”

Apparently we are too — years, that is. And given how stressful years have been in recent years, looking into the future feels a bit like watching previews for the next dystopian epic. From a higher perspective of course, we recognize that chaos is a necessary phase of evolution.

This week’s guest, Harvey Stone — a corporate trainer, sustainability expert, and self-proclaimed optimist — has a coherent and compelling take on where we might be headed over the next decade, and has some surprising insights to help us anticipate and navigate the changes, which he calls “Disruption, Democratization, Demonetization, and Depolarization.” …  Read more here

Spontaneous Remission Through Spontaneous Remissioning – Bringing Grace, Beauty, and Love Into Our Times Through Sacred Storytelling

Aired 30 April 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Author and Storyteller Leah Lamb

Cellular biologist Bruce Lipton says crisis precipitates evolution and if we look at the current crises we face — ecologic, economic, political and spiritual — we can conclude that the chances of precipitation are 100%.

Those who are paying attention are alarmed and concerned. Those paying even closer attention recognize that not just our civilization, but the web of life itself is at stake. Sadly, some of those who’ve been active for years have given up in frustration. We’re on track for a train wreck they say, and only a miracle can save us.

But … did you know, there is actually a template for miracles?

We can begin with the phenomenon called spontaneous remission. We read about these seemingly anomalous healings all the time, or perhaps we know someone who has had one. One day, the individual is on death’s door with a “fatal illness.” The next day, they are inexplicably symptom free. This kind of miraculous change that cannot be explained through ordinary science is often deemed a Divine intervention, part of the unknowable mystery.

But there might be more to it.

Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, author of Coyote Medicine, tells us that spontaneous remission is often preceded by “a change of story.” In other words, our feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and the meaning we attribute to our situation may actually change the “field” in such a way that it impacts our physical reality. Can this also be true of our collective story and beliefs, and our collective reality? That’s what my book with Bruce Lipton, Spontaneous Evolution, is all about. As we say in the book:

The spontaneous remission we seek appears to be contingent upon a spontaneous re-missioning of civilization through which we change our mission from one based on survival of the individual to one that encompasses survival of the species.

Our guest this week, Leah Lamb, calls herself a “sacred storyteller” and our conversation will focus on how we “unravel” the old yarn, the one that doesn’t serve our evolution, and weave ourselves a new one. The Bible says, “In the beginning was the word.” Leah reiterates that every origin story in every culture tells us, “the world is sung, spoken or chanted into existence.” …  Read more here

From Trauma to Transformation – How To Make Our Political Crisis A Rebirth

Aired 23 April 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Author and Political Consultant Eleanor LeCain

My comedian colleague Will Durst proclaims that the body politic is suffering from PTSD — President Trump Stress Disorder. While the trauma is palpable, it’s also important to recognize — as one of my correspondents recently shared — “beneath every festering pus hole is a deeper infection.”

In this next phase of the seemingly never-ending election season, we are once again being diverted to personalities and surface issues — when the deeper crisis is demanding to be addressed. From climate change to political climate change, we are called upon to move past divisive rhetoric to a unifying vision. As Van Jones pointed out several years ago, Martin Luther King’s famed speech was “I have a dream” not “I have a complaint.”

So other than wanting Trumpty Dumpty to have a great fall, what DO the sane and reverent majority want? What is our dream, our vision for a healthy future? Where is the opportunity in the crisis, and how do we unify to bring it forth?

Our guest this week, Eleanor LeCain, is particularly suited for this conversation. She is both a visionary and political strategist, who advises candidates on all areas of domestic policy and campaign strategy. She has extensive experience in successfully electing progressives at the federal, state and local level. She currently serves as the top Issues advisor to the presidential candidate Marianne Williamson. In 2016, she was the National Director of the She Wins We Win campaign to elect Democratic women to Congress. In 2014, she was campaign manager for Marianne Williamson for Congress in Los Angeles. In 2012, she helped Elizabeth Warren win a seat in the US Senate …  Read more here

Unstoppable! How A Concerned Mother Launched a Movement to Free the World of GMOs and Glyphosates

Aired 16 April 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Author and Moms Across America Founder Zen Honeycutt

It has long been said that necessity is the mother of invention. But … sometimes it is motherhood that makes invention necessary.

Moms Across America grew out of one mother’s concern about her children’s health. Several years ago, Zen Honeycutt’s boys were suffering from chronic health issues — allergies, asthma, autoimmune issues and even autism. She writes, “It was overwhelming- I felt terrified and helpless. Then I learned about the food supply and the toxins our children are exposed to, started Moms Across America and connected with thousands of people dedicated to health.”

That one decision to educate herself and take charge of her family’s health has sparked an “upwising” that has impacted thousands of other families and moved the dial …  Read more here

The Financial Freedom Act — How to Eliminate the Income Tax and Pay For All We Need … And More

Aired 9 April 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Interview with Author and Entrepreneur Scott Smith, Founder of the Foundation for a Better Economy

Ready to stretch your imagination?

You sure?

OK … Imagine as if by magic, there is no more income tax, no more sales tax, or property tax. Then imagine we find a way to magically pay for everything the government currently spends money on … plus free health care for all, social security that is “secure” forever, and a guaranteed income of about $24,000 a year for every adult American. Oh, and then imagine all of this, AND we pay off the national debt.

Our guest this week, Scott Smith, an economic visionary with feet-on-the-ground experience has a plan to do just that. He calls his proposed legislation the Financial Freedom Act … and by taxing the $5 quadrillion in financial transactions that take place every year instead of the mere $16 trillion in income, we can finance the world of our dreams … Read more here.

From Monsanto to “Nonsanto – Why Avoiding GMOs Improves Your Health

Aired 15 January 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT — REBROADCAST 2 April 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview with Author, Researcher and GMO Expert Jeffrey Smith

When Bruce Lipton and I published Spontaneous Evolution nearly ten years ago, in a chapter on our current economic / ecological / political dysfunction, we had a section called “Moneychangers In the Temple — Monsanto Clause Is Coming to Town”, where we talked about the lengths Monsanto (now part of Bayer — those wonderful folks who brought us Auschwitz) has gone to “own” life forms.

Short-form, they have developed genetically-modified seeds they call “Round Up ready” because they and they alone can resist the toxic herbicide in Round Up, glyphosate. The idea is to poison the soil and all non-Monsanto plants, and then sell the “remedy” so that eventually Monsanto will own the keys to life.

Despite convincing evidence glyphosate is a carcinogen, thanks to the cozy relationship between the agrichemical industry and the agencies set up to regulate it — and complicity of the mainstream press — authorities continue to say with a straight-face that glyphosate is “safe.”

Our guest this week, Jeffrey Smith, literally “wrote the book” on GMOs.

The leading consumer advocate promoting healthier non-GMO choices, Jeffrey Smith was named the 2017 “Person of the Year” by Masters of Health Magazine. For more than two decades, his research has exposed how biotech companies mislead policy makers and the public, and put the health of society and environment at risk. … Read more here.

Candidate Tulsi Gabbard Focuses on IDENTICAL Issues, Not Identity Issues

Aired 26 March 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) Speaks At University of San Francisco

Once again it’s time for the (bad) dog and (lame) pony show called “electoral politics” which seems to be designed to keep the American people occupied fighting over “identity issues” instead of gathering around the IDENTICAL ISSUES we all face, cultivating the virtues and values that 90% of us share, and using those to set a standard for governance.

While Presidential campaigns have long been called out as “beauty pageants” and “popularity contests,” the 2016 campaign stood out in stark contrast. It was an “ugly pageant” and “unpopularity contest”, as people rushed to the polls to vote against the candidate they hated more. The results were conclusive: “None-of-the-above” would have won in a landslide.

And here we are once again, with the Democratic (sic) Party establishment set on going back to what the voters didn’t want in 2016, and polishing their image as “we’re not as bad as the other guys”, while a Democratic socialist insurgency seeks to “fight the power” and pull the party leftward.

In the midst of this replay of a scenario that handed Trumpism a victory in 2016, there is one candidate who stands out as sane … coherent … courageous … qualified, and on the scene to be of service, and who is ready to bust the divide-and-conquer game that “pits one group of us against the other for their own gain.”

That candidate is Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), who served as Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager in her home state, and then resigned her position at the Democratic National Committee over how she perceived Bernie to be cheated out of delegates by the DNC. We had the opportunity to meet her when she came to speak at the University of San Francisco on March 16th … and we were not disappointed … Read more here.

Documentaries For A Conscious Humanity – Making Peace, One Movie at a Time

Aired 19 March 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview with Filmmaker Emmanuel Itier

Movies move us.

Sure they were originally called “movies” because they were “motion pictures”. And there is something about the total immersion in a darkened theater watching a large screen that “puts us in the picture” and creates a totality of experience that is not just intellectual, but visceral and all-encompassing. That’s why movies move us.

Can movies move us toward an actual movement that moves the world?

Our guest on Wiki Politiki this week, filmmaker Emmanuel Itier thinks so. Born in France, Itier moved to the US 30 years ago and has used his platform in recent years to promote consciousness, and political and spiritual transformation.

His most recent film — created in collaboration with Executive Producer Sharon Stone, is called WE THE PEOPLE — a worldwide exploration of the notions of politics and economics with the likes of Robert Reich, Deepak Chopra, Sharon Stone, Michael Beckwith, Nobel Peace Laureates Mairead Maguire and Tawakkol Karman, Vandana Shiva, Mark Wahlberg, and many others. Says Emmanuel, “If we cultivate caring economies and politics maybe we can build a sustainable planet full of peace, justice and love for everybody. When you watch WE THE PEOPLE you will realize we are not focusing at putting anyone, any party, down but we are focusing on the possible solution to better our Humanity and use the tools of politics and economics to build a sustainable future.” … Read more here.

Progressive Journalism in Regressive Times

Aired 12 March 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview with Talk Show Host and Uncommontator Peter B. Collins

Tom Paine would have called these soul-trying times. And anyone with soul would call these “paine-ful” times. We have a president who is a bold-faced liar, and a mainstream press that prefers lying by omission and nuance. What a choice. Covert skullduggery, or overt scumbaggery. Caught between the devil and the deep blue state.

So how does one navigate these waters, when it’s hard to tell fake real news from real fake news?

Wonder no more. Our guest this week Peter B. Collins, is here to disabuse the politically abused, and hold the line for sanity and wisdom at a time when both are in short supply.

Peter B. grew up in Cincinnati, and in high school he and his buddies built a closed-circuit campus radio station.  He went to Northwestern in Chicago, and a few years later he was hosting the late-night talk show on WLS-FM (WDAI), which rose to #1.  He moved to the Bay Area in 1976 … Read more here

Wise Democracy: Accessing the Wisdom of We the People to Create Political Climate Change

Aired 5 March 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview with Author and Wisdom Council Convener Jim Rough

As my colleague Bruce Lipton points out, when we are adrenalized by anger and outrage, we go into “fight or flight”. In other words, our energy flows from our cerebral cortex to our hindbrain. We become more reactive, less creative. And when we are in a political climate where outrage against the other is carefully and continually cultivated, we become downright stupid.

As many progressives can see, this “stupidization” process had culminated in Donald Trump as President. However, what many progressives cannot see is that their own blind outrage has fueled the flames of misunderstanding and taken us further from the awareness we will collectively need to “overgrow” our current corrupt political “shituation.”

Fortunately, there are some excellent tools available for we the people to not just listen to and hear one another, but to collaborate on bringing forth breakthrough solutions and “political climate change.” This week’s show is about one such tool.

In Spontaneous Evolution, in our chapter “Healing the Body Politic”, Bruce Lipton and I explored what author James Surowiecki called “the wisdom of crowds” and Tom Atlee calls “co-intelligence” as we offer example after example of how ordinary people can collectively access extraordinary wisdom. One of the specific examples we gave was the work of Jim Rough, author of Society’s Breakthrough! Releasing Essential Wisdom and Virtue in All the People. Jim is the developer of Dynamic Facilitation and exciting strategy called the Wisdom Council Process, that has been practiced widely around the world and has actually been incorporated into the Constitutions of two states of Austria. … Read more here.

Inner Journeys, Cosmic Sojourns

Aired 26 February 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview with Transpersonal Hypnotherapist and Author Stephen Poplin

At a time when being in the here and now can feel quite challenging, perhaps being in the “there and then” can offer us some perspective. On this week’s Wiki Politiki, we take a detour to look at the long, long, long view.

How long? Lifetimes … eons … beyond time, and what you or I would consider “reality.”

Our guest this week, Stephen Poplin, has worn many hats: political philosopher, astrologer, transpersonal hypnotherapist. It was while practicing hypnotic regression with his clients that he uncovered not just the world of past lives, but life between lives. Following in the footsteps of hypnotherapist Michael Newton, Stephen “interviewed” thousands of people in deep trance, and heard remarkable past life stories that shed light on their present life issues. His book, Inner Journeys, Cosmic Sojourns, is a fascinating chronicle of these stories.

So, one might ask, what in the world has this to do with Wiki Politiki? … Read more here.

Most Of What You Believe About Poverty Is Wrong!

Aired 19 February 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview with Mauricio Miller, Founder of The Alternative Project

At a time when the gap between rich and poor is the widest in ninety years, we need more funding for poverty programs, right?

Well … maybe and maybe not. This week’s guest, Mauricio Miller, author of The Alternative, points out that poverty programs over the past 50 years haven’t really moved the dial. What if the poverty programs themselves kept the conditions in place? What if the real beneficiaries have been those who have SERVED the underserved community? What if these programs promote dependency and not self-reliance?

What if the current way of giving help has left people helpless, and actually created a “industry” that makes sure the problem stays in place, largely unsolved? … Read more here..”

The “Green Economy” In Action

Aired 12 February 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview Purium Co-Founder Dave Sandoval

There’s been a lot of buzz recently about “green jobs” and the Green New Deal as a way of restoring the ecology and renewing the economy. However, the overall plan seems to gloss over the inconvenient truth that we must restore the soil and microbiome, and “overgrow” chemical farming and glyphosates (Round-Up) that depletes our soil.

Our guest this week on Wiki Politiki is Dave Sandoval, co-founder of Purium, provider of plant-based nutritional products since 1994, and a successful “green” entrepreneur who DOES care about the soil. As Swami has said, “Going green can get us out of the red and keep us in the pink.”

Dave Sandoval, has made it his life’s mission to change the world for the better. From nutrition and the environment to domestic violence and poverty, Dave has advocated on behalf of many causes. He’s invited people into his home to personally help them get healthy, lose weight or achieve their goals. And, through his mentorship program, he has inspired all kinds of people, including celebrities, to get out into the world and make a difference. Dave founded Purium in post-riot Long Beach with Gandhi’s philosophy, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” … Read more here.

The Yellow Vests vs. Vested Interests – A People’s Upwising

Aired 5 February 2019 – 5:00 PM EDT

An Interview with American Ex-Pat and Marxist-Humanist Scholar Richard Greeman

We are living in what Tom Paine would have called “soul-trying” times.

While progressives are still baffled as to how Donald Trump became President and continue to be pulled into the very “resistance” that energizes Trumpism, a growing number of Americans are awakening to the political “shell” game. Regardless of which party wins, when it comes to the fundamental focus and rules of governance, those who already have too much money, power and influence seem to have the final say.

Consider that under Obama (and Hillary as Secretary of State) we had the same neocon / neoliberal foreign policy as under Bush and Cheney. And even the Huffington Post has had to admit that income inequality became worse under Obama than it was under George W. Bush.

The narrative playing on the mainstream is still about the growing list of “hopefuls” for the 2020 Presidential campaign, while the condition of the body politic remains “hopeless” unless we do a mass detox off of those two addictive drugs, “Hopium” and “Deniatol.” What is needed is a true “2020 vision” to help we the people overgrow our corrupt and dysfunctional system, from the grassroots up instead of the top down.

Fortunately, there is true hope on the horizon and it comes from the folks who helped us with the first American Revolution — France. You’ve probably been hearing about the Yellow Vest movement, which has been presented as one of those nationalistic, xenophobic “right wing” movements that seem to be sweeping Europe and the rest of the world.

Not so fast, says my Wiki guest this week, Richard Greeman, an American expatriate living in France and a bona fide leftist. What he has observed first-hand is a movement of ordinary people tired of being told, “Let them eat cake” by Marie Antoinette sound-alike Emmanuel Macron, who is an investment banker disguised as a “socialist.” As Greeman tells us in the interview, this is a from-the-ground-up movement that has rejected any affiliation with any party, right or left. This is the true “peoples upwising.”

Richard Greeman is a self-described “Marxist-humanist, libertarian socialist and anarchist revolutionary” … Read more here.

It’s Time For Right and Left to Come Front and Center to UNRIG the System

Aired Tuesday, 29 January 2019, 5:00 PM EST

An Interview with Represent.Us National Organizing Manager James Jameson

I’ve said it before, and it is worth repeating.

In these times of intense political polarization, we have a DEEPLY UNITED body politic. More than 90% of us agree — we aren’t being represented … the two-party system is rigged … we need to make sure that the “free speech” of unbridled campaign spending doesn’t drown out the free speech that points us beyond the status quo.

Consider the 2014 study by Princeton University Professor Martin Gilens and Northwestern University Professor Benjamin Page that concluded that the USA is for all intents and purposes an “oligarchy” because the views of the general public have very little sway over what legislation does or doesn’t get passed — particularly when the public will is in conflict with the special interests who “own” the politicians. Consider this mind-blowing statistic: On average, a US Senator must raise $14,000 a month for six years to pay for her or his re-election campaign. That’s some $30.6 million! Do the math … do the aftermath!

Meanwhile, according to CBS News some $6.8 billion was spent on the 2016 Presidential election, while just 31% of the people thought the election process “was working as well as it could.”

If we consider that $6.8 billion is larger than the economies of Argentina and Poland, that’s a lot of money to spend on a campaign that leaves 70% of us unsatisfied!

Fortunately, my guest today James Jameson, the National Organizing Director of Represent.Us, is here with some good news for a change — anti-corruption and election reform activists from across the political spectrum are uniting to “unrig the system” — and are planning their second annual Unrig the System Summit in Nashville at the end of March. Enlightened Capitalism – It’s NOT An Oxymoron

Aired Tuesday, 22 January 2019, 5:00 PM EST

An Interview with B Corporation Pioneer John Montgomery

Our show today is about Enlightened Capitalism and NO that is not an oxymoron, at least not according to today’s guest. At the same time we have to acknowledge that UNENLIGHTENED CAPITALISM has been allowed to run rampant, and people are starting to notice, particularly young people.

Last October, an astounding public opinion poll came out indicating that one third of Millennials identified as socialists.

Might this be seen as a sign that capitalism as it has been practiced has failed us? Thanks to a meme cultivated by economist Milton Friedman over 40 years ago, the ONLY purpose of a corporation is to make profit for its shareholders, and since the Citizens United Supreme Court decision nine years ago, it seems that corporations have taken upon themselves the right to extract and exploit in perpetuity, and send the cleaning bill to future generations.

More and more awakening individuals are recognizing that this form of extractor capitalism — what Naomi Klein calls “disaster capitalism” — is not only obsolete but obsolethal. This old form of capitalism is doomed, and the question is can it evolve? Or will it die, possibly taking Western Civilization with it?

Our guest today John Montgomery is a champion of a new form of enlightened capitalism called the B Corporation, B standing for benefit … as in benefitting the world at large and not just the shareholders “at small.” Read more here.

Unity Earth Festival Focuses On Culture, Youth and Regeneration of the Earth

Aired Tuesday, 8 January 2019, 5:00 PM EST

An Interview with Adam Collett, Project Manager of Unity Earth Lift Off

It’s fitting that in 2019, fifty years after Woodstock a new festival has emerged to bring together the “imaginal cells” of a new generation, at a time when humankind (without the “kindness”) sits atop the endangered — and endangering species list.

And this time — unlike Woodstock — there is a worldwide movement, an “upwising” if you will, seeking to bring together awakening youth and indigenous people to bring unity out of diversity. Instead of focusing on the “identity” issues that tend to keep us separate, this festival focused on working together around the IDENTICAL ISSUES that unite us — clean air, clean water, clean food, and clean government.

The actual event, Unity Earth Lift Off is being billed as a “multigenerational, intercultural, interactive concert in celebration of UN World Interfaith Harmony Week” and will be held on February 2, 2019 at the United Palace in New York City.

How fitting that organizers have picked Ground Hog Day, which in our turbulent times we have renamed Man Hog Day … if we fail to see our own shadow, two more years of darkness.

Seriously and humorously, our guest this week is Adam Collett, an Australian native who is the project manager for Unity Earth Lift Off, and who shares a compelling and much-needed vision to unite indigenous elders and the y0ung people who will inherit this world to create a “movement of movements” to unify and mobilize those who are ready for a partnership (as opposed to a dominator) civilization. 2019 – A Year of Luminosity – The Re-Evolution of Politics and Economics

Aired Tuesday, 1 January 2019, 5:00 PM EST

An Interview with Visionary Success Strategist Jeanine Just

Many years ago, when I was a teacher in Washington, D.C. I had a wonderful colleague who loved channeling Mel Brooks’ 2000-year-old man, who for some reason spoke with a Yiddish accent. One day I ran into my friend, and knowing he was considering switching schools, I asked, “So what are you doing next year?”

And he replied — with that exaggerated Yiddish accent — “Oh, they’re having another one?”

So as we come to the end of another intense and challenging year where you can say both it was the best of times and worst of times … YES … we are having another one!

Our New Year’s Day guest is my long-time friend and colleague Jeanine Just. She came on my radar when I watched an intriguing and inspiring movie, We The People: Re-Evolution of Politics and Economics, co-produced by Sharon Stone. I saw Jeanine was one of the featured luminaries, so I decided to reach out to her.

Jeanine is a Visionary Success Strategist and describes herself as a practical futurist with common sense approaches to today’s complex issues. With over 35 years experience working with thousands of clients, the LA Times called her “a trailblazer—a catalyst for change.” Read more here.
